British War Medal to E. L. MacGeorge - Ethel Luxmore MacGeorge was born in Adelaide in 1866. In late 1916 she took passage to London on the RMS Kaisar-i-Hind. Her activities during 1917 are unknown but in January, 1918 she is listed as a patient in the No. 2 General Hospital in Havre, France. The British War Medal roll credits her with service with the Australian YMCA at Havre from March, 1918 to June, 1919, where she was in charge of the Geelong YMCA hut.
Miss MacGeorge eventually settled in London, where she died in 1954.
